Are you looking for a qualified teacher who’s available to provide tailored lessons for your child's needs? I’m a qualified Acting/Vocal Instructor with a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from Capital University Conservatory of Music. I am offering fun, personalized, and instructive lessons to students over Skype! I love what I do and have been teaching children performance skills since 2010. I am committed to helping children (especially beginners) interested in the arts explore their musical and performing skills further and to help them reach their full potential.
ALL ABOUT ME
I have a BM in Vocal Performance from Capital University- Conservatory of Music. I have been been trained vocally in classical and musical theater styles and have passed a course in vocal pedagogy. I have been teaching and working with kids since 2010 and always customize the pace of the lesson towards the individual student. Vocally, I have been awarded first place in the senior vocal division for Justine Hackman Memorial Young Jewish Artist Competition. I have also performed many theatrical roles- favorites include: the lead role of Anne in the National Tour of "My Heart in a Suitcase," the role of Fanny Brice in Funny Girl at Gallery Players (Regional theatre), the role of Olive Ostrovsky at Weathervane Playhouse (Regional theatre), I've performed off-off Broadway and many more. In addition, I was the top soloist for the Columbus International Children’s Choir for many years and have completed the musical theater intensive at the renowned Interlochen Center for the Arts. In 2014 I was asked to perform for the mayor at City Hall (Columbus, Ohio) for the Annual Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony and have performed with renowned violinist, Arkadiy Gips.

BEGINNERS SINGING LESSONS
As a graduate from a conservatory of music with a degree in vocal performance (specializing in opera and musical theatre) I have performed in many different venues since the age of 7. I know I can help new students find the confidence to improve their performing and vocal skills through fun lessons that focus on vocal health and improving their vocal abilities. I have been taking voice lessons since the age of 5 and know how to create a fun and welcoming environment that nurtures their love of music while gradually reaching goals that we set together as student and teacher. Even students as young as 5 can start to foster their musical skills and be introduced to the arts. My mission? To teach the student to sing comfortably and enjoyably while utilizing healthy technique and learning to “tell the story” of a song.

BEGINNING PIANO FOR KIDS -PIANO WITH PAULA
I know how difficult it can be to find a reliable teacher that focuses on Piano for Kids. Teachers need to be able to motivate and guide students towards success. As an experienced and passionate Piano Instructor, I believe in an approach that gives students positive, constructive ways to learn. I design my lessons according to my students’ needs, with an emphasis on confidence-boosting activities. We will work on an introduction to music, sight reading notes, musicianship skills, and learning fun songs to play for friends and family.

BEGINNERS ACTING LESSONS
I specialize in Beginners Acting Lessons and know how to reach my students with the right balance of personalized attention, patience, practical training, and positive encouragement. I make learning fun through a variety of engaging and outside-the-box activities and can help them explore their character for that upcoming audition, school play, or just getting started in the performing arts with monologues and fun acting games. I have been performing in theatrical productions since a very young age and know that acting also helps a student gain confidence and learn more about themselves. I have personally experienced this and love to help new students discover and explore the joy of acting and performing.

STUDIO POLICIES
Payment accepted via zelle, paypal, or venmo. Make-up lessons can be scheduled. Student is responsible for finding and paying an accompanist (if needed and/or preferred for voice lesson). We will set practice and/or memorization goals at each lesson. It may be helpful to the student to record the lessons but it is not required. Studio does have a 24 hour cancellation policy- cancellation within 24 hours still requires payment for the lesson prior to the scheduled lesson time. Payment must be sent before each lesson begins.

$55/1hour lesson
If meeting at a studio in NYC - price may be slightly higher due to room rental.
